Increases Bathroom SafetySince wet, slippery surfaces in bathrooms can pose significant risks for people who may have difficulties standing and balancing, it is important to provide additional, non-slip support while showering or bathing. The Safety First Designer Transfer Bench offers a safer alternative by providing an easy way to enter and exit the tub as well as a stable and supportive, yet comfortable place to bathe.
Molded Seat and Soft Grip Handle Increase Comfort and Safety
The white, molded-plastic seat is 33 inches long and 16 inches wide to provide a comfortable place to sit while showering. It also gives ample room for transferring in and out of the tub. The Soft Grip handle offers additional support for bathing and guided support for moving into and out of the showering seat.
Design Keeps Water Inside the Tub
The ergonomically contoured seat features drainage holes which allow water to flow through the bench and drain with the water in the tub or shower, ensuring that the seat remains safer and comfortable to use, and easy to clean. A contoured groove at the edge of the shower seat guides water away from the tub edge and back into the tub, preventing water from getting outside the tub.
Adjustable Height to Fit Your Needs
The adjustable legs are easy to use by simply pressing the lever on the leg, sliding it to the desired height, and ensuring that an audible click is heard as the lever returns to the secure, flush position. The legs adjust separately so that you can level the bench with one set of legs inside the tub and one set of legs outside the tub.
Reversible Backrest Fits Any Bathroom
With a comfortable, molded-plastic backrest that fastens easily to either side of the bench, the Designer Transfer Bench will work with bathtubs that have a left-facing or right-facing spout. The reversible backrest also allows for left- or right-sided entry into the tub.
The transfer bench also has a removable soap holder and hand holders on each side to aid the bather. Another safety feature is a shield over the outside legs to prevent tripping.
